Keith was born in New London, New Hampshire. Growing up in Andover, Keith has been a part of the local communities throughout his lifetime and deeply values the role non-profit organizations play in the building of community. For over 30 years, Keith worked in fundraising, most recently as the Director of Development at Proctor Academy, a co-educational boarding and day school in central New Hampshire with a $27M operating budget, for the past twenty years.
After graduating from the Berklee College of Music, Keith began his career as a music teacher at Cushing Academy, and also taught at Hamden Hall Country Day School before returning home to his alma mater, Proctor Academy. He transitioned to the Development Office as a Gift Officer in 1998 during the 150th Anniversary celebration and capital campaign. Keith was promoted to Director of Development in 2006 and has led Proctor through several capital campaigns over the years, raising more than $110M for the school.
At KB Consulting, Keith works with nonprofits throughout the United States on fundraising, team building, board development and stewardship techniques with a goal of inspiring and guiding nonprofits in their important work. Keith serves on the board of the Association for Fundraising Professionals of Northern New England (AFPNNE) and also serves as a mentor to others in the field through his work at AFP. In his free time, Keith is the founder and owner of Immaculate Sound, a local production company and is the lead guitarist and vocalist of Nick’s Other Band.
